Meet Grazing Events Executive Chef
What attracted you to the hospitality and events world?
The work life balance! 😂 On a serious note, I really enjoy the build-up to events, from the tastings, planning, embolization and the final execution is always very rewarding.
How long have you been in the events industry?
On and off for the last 10 years. I spent seven years working for Rhubarb Food Design, in various venues and locations in and around London as well as running a fleet of luxury boats on the river themes for them called Woods Silver Fleet which have been operating events on the river for the last 60 years.
What attracted you to Grazing Events?
To be a part of an up and coming team, that are creating a very original and unique offer for the events industry.
What has been your favourite event to be involved with?
The Arki Busson fund raising event at Waterloo station was always good fun, when I was with rhubarb. The Shard Talks event that we did back in 2015 was great as it supported a lot of the local business, but the Grazing showcase at the shard was fantastic and probably my favourite event we have done thus far...
What are you looking forward to over the next year with Grazing Events?
Working with our new events team, Claire and Blake to deliver some of the best events London has ever seen!!
Where are your favourite places to eat in London?
I love going to Street Feast Dalston for the variety of street food on offer. They also have a rum shack there! In terms of restaurants, my favourite place to eat at the moment is Paradise Garage, which is located in a railway arch near Bethnal green.
What you would pick as your last meal?
I would have loved to have eaten at the legendary El Bulli before it shut its doors. So for my last meal, I would pick a 49 course meal prepared and cooked by Ferran Adria and his team!! Failing that, a good old Lancashire Hot Pot would do me!
Which chefs inspire you?
There have been so many over the years like the Roux brothers, Keith Floyd, Thomas Keller, Gary Rhodes, Heston Blumenthal, Marcus Wearing, Ferran Adria, Gordon Ramsay, Grant Achatz, Nuno Mendes, Jason Atherton, however I think my top five at the moment would have to be;
